Mom's Breakfast Casserole

This is the basic recipe. From there, you can add anything else that you would like! Diced onions, green peppers and mushrooms are great additions.

2 1/2 cup milk
6 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dry mustard
5 slices bread - cubed
1 cup shredded cheese
1 lb. sausage or bacon - cooked

Directions:

Wisk together the milk, eggs, salt and dry mustard in a mixing bowl.

In a casserole dish, combine the bread, cheese, meats and any other additions (onion, green pepper).

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the casserole - no need to stir

Bake at 325 degrees for 30-45 minutes

Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the casserole. If it comes out clean, your casserole is ready!
