Just buy your favorite store-brand and doctor it up a bit.
Add 1/3 cup of any red wine and let it simmer for awhile. It makes your store-brand sauce taste more like homemade!

I will have to try your tip. I have tried to make homemade spaghetti sauce and it never turned out like Prego. I will have to revisit the process and add the wine. Thanks for your tip on your favorite brand of sauce. It's on the grocery list. I see that you added Lisa's fabulous Champaign Taste blog. She encouraged me to start blogging even though writing throws me into a panic attack. It's gotten easier because I love talking about food. -Tien
