Our favorite wines...

Terry and I are big red wine drinkers.  I love a good heavy cabernet and he just loves it all!  Awhile back, I bought one of those cute "wine diaries" to keep track of our favorites.  It even came with those great stickers for removing the wine label.  Well, that is still sitting unused and collecting dust in our bar.  So this post is more of a list for myself that I hope to add to each time I find a great wine.

Four Vines - Paso Robles, CA
2008 Biker Zinfandel
2007 Paso Petite Sirah, Paso Robles
2006 Heretic Petite Sirah, Paso Robles

*discovered through The Butch family...visited the winery in October 2010 for our 5th anniversary

Wiens Cellars - Temecula, CA
2007 Crowded (blend)
2007 Reflection (blend)
Amour De L'Orange - Orange Champagne

J. Fillipi Winery - Rancho Cucamonga, CA
2007 Velluto Il Meglio, Estate Blend, Cucamonga Valley
2005 Big Joe Red Barrel Blend #2
California Sparkling Almond Champagne*
Raspberry Regale - dessert wine*
Fondanté Ciello - "Sweet Heaven" Port  (chocolate dessert wine)*
*The Almond Champagne, Raspberry Regale and Fondante Ciello are really good when combined.  It is like a fizzy Chocolate Raspberry drink!

  1. I love this list. I do not have much experience with wines but have friends who love red wines. It will be great to see what your favorite wines are. I hope that you had a great turkey day! -Tien

  2. Thanks Tien! Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving also. We took the easy way out and just went to a restaurant for T-giving dinner. Now we are kind of sad that we don't have any leftovers to enjoy. So today, my husband hit the grocery store and picked up half of a turkey on sale and is planning to smoke it on the weber grill tomorrow! I might have to start a grilling/smoking section on my blog for his cooking!
